When he was just a tiny kit in the nursey with Willowsong,his camp was attacked by Shadeclan. His father gave his life to protect him and his mother and siblings, though all three of his siblings died later. Only one of his sisters survived, Silverwing is now a queen. He nearly died in that attack. When he became a apprentice, he learned that his father was ailve! The cat tat had died to protect him was only his half-father! He would never forget that cat. His father's name was Flamestorm. In his later apprenticeship, his sister suffered blindness from a sickness that has no name. One cat helped her through that horrid time, Rockface. Soon they fell in love and had kits. Silverwing now lives in the nursery. Sunscorch visits her often. Because of all those tragedies he is now heavily depressed.

"Sunscorch, is that you?" asked his sister. Sunscorch then meowed," Yes, it's me. How are you doing today?" "You ask that question every day and i always tell you, it never changes, or is it supposed to. Face it, Sunscorch, i'm blind. No one can change that." She replied with he gray eyes locked on him. Hastily he apoligized, " i'M so sorry, it's just i want to look after you. I love you. I have to go on patrol now. Goodbye." With that he squeezed out the gap and went towards the fern tunnel.
